The concept of the Miami Design District is credited to Craig Robbins, who supposedly persuaded these influential designers to relocate to the area and recreate the run-down buildings that he purchased. There are currently 125 tenants in the area, but the area is quickly growing into a hot spot to develop condominium buildings so that others can move to the area and create a new type of Miami lifestyle.
